Mustafavi Students Movement Abbotabad (KPK) organized a ceremony in District Hall Abbotabad under the topic of ‘Umeed-e-Nou Talba Convention’. A large number of students from across KPK and other areas attended the ceremony.
The Convention started off with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat.
In his inaugural address, Assadullah Jan, President of MSM KPK, welcomed the guests for their participation in the Convention. He said that the future of any nation depended upon its youth particularly the students. He said that they have central role to play in the development of any state and society. He said that it was only MSM, a non-political organization of the students, which was highlighting the problems of the student community besides guiding them on a whole range of national issues through dialogue and engagement in the society.
Mushtaq Ali Khan Sarwerdi, chief of MQI KPK, said in his keynote speech that it is distinction of MSM that it focused its energies on the spread of knowledge and education among the youth. He said that it is only through equipment of knowledge that we can get rid of scourges of extremism and terrorism from society.
Chief guest Tajamul Hussain Inqalabi, central President of MSM, said in his speech that we came here with the message of peace and Knowledge. He said that the students needed to pay attention to their studies and it must be their first priority. He said that extensive measures need to be adopted to maintain peace in the educational institutions and opportunities are to be provided to all the students. He also emphasized the need to promote good deeds in society. He said Government should increase the budgetary allocations of education.
He strongly condemned the brutal assassination attempt on the life of Malala Yousafzai and her fellow students. He said that Malala Yousafzai stood for education and peace and through her persistent struggle, she emerged as a great ray of hope for other children of the country. He said that people like Malala were role model for their counterparts and harbinger of change in society.
Tahir Khan, vice president of MSM KPK and Junaid Mustafvi, President MSM Abbotabad, also addressed students.
